The Rent Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for tenant rent subsidies and plays a critical role in ensuring the financial stability of the housing community. This position is dedicated to overseeing the rent collection process while acting as a bridge between tenants, social services, and the Finance department.
In this role, you will work closely with tenants to address rent-related questions and concerns, collaborating with social service agencies to ensure rent is paid in full each month. The position requires a high degree of coordination with outside counsel and subsidy agencies to manage legal actions, court appearances, and complex payment scenarios. You will also partner with the maintenance department regarding repair charges and lead internal meetings to communicate arrears situations, ensuring that effective strategies are developed to solve tenant rent issues.
This is a 35-hour per week position designed for an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about supporting diverse populations.
