As a Customer Service representative at the NCPS-Pinecrest Center, you serve as the vital first point of contact for patients and their families. Your role is to ensure a welcoming and efficient experience, whether greeting individuals in person or assisting them over the telephone. You will be responsible for gathering essential demographic, financial, and medical information to accurately register patients and schedule their services.
In this position, you will navigate the intersection of patient care and administrative precision. Your day involves verifying insurance details, obtaining necessary authorizations and referrals, and collecting payments or explaining financial responsibilities like deductibles and co-pays. You will also manage the flow of patients in the office, ensuring they are properly registered, accompanied by legal guardians when required, and directed to the appropriate waiting areas.
This role requires strict adherence to federal regulations, including HIPAA and EMTALA, to protect patient privacy and ensure legal compliance. You will be entrusted with sensitive information and must maintain the highest standards of confidentiality while interacting with patients, families, and internal departments. The ability to remain calm under stress and communicate effectively in both English and Spanish is highly valued to serve our diverse community.
Candidates with 1-3 years of customer service experience are encouraged to apply. Those with prior medical or healthcare office experience and fluency in Spanish will be given preference.
