We are seeking an experienced Financial Administrative Representative to support emergency room admitting and patient access operations in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role is critical for ensuring accurate patient registration, pre-registration, and insurance verification while delivering excellent customer service during high-volume patient flow.
You will be responsible for securing upfront collections, maintaining accurate patient account information, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA, EMTALA, and hospital policies. A key aspect of this position is the ability to handle sensitive financial discussions only after patients have been medically screened and stabilized, balancing operational efficiency with compassionate care.
This position operates within a dynamic healthcare setting where precision and speed are essential. You will communicate effectively with patients, physicians, insurance companies, and internal staff to facilitate smooth admissions and financial processes. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex billing scenarios involving Medi-Cal, Medicare, COBRA, Covered California, and limited benefit plans.
Candidates must be available for a mandatory two-week training period (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM) regardless of their selected shift. Successful applicants will be required to obtain Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certification within three months of hire. The role may also require travel to off-site locations as needed.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
