This position serves as a pivotal leadership role within the Scheduling Center, bridging clinical expertise with operational excellence. As a Registered Nurse, you will manage resources and coordinate the daily activities of personnel to ensure the center meets high standards of operational efficiency and customer service. The role is critical in facilitating seamless patient experiences by ensuring timely scheduling of procedures and securing necessary authorizations to prevent reimbursement denials.
You will act as a primary resource for the organization, collaborating closely with patients, physicians, third-party payers, and hospital outpatient departments. Your day-to-day involves supervising scheduling processes, managing work queues, and ensuring that resources align with fluctuating work volumes. Beyond administrative oversight, you will play a key role in the Medication Access Team (MAT) workflow, ensuring smooth transitions from scheduling to authorization for Specialty Clinic services.
Our team is committed to the mission, vision, and core values of the organization. We foster a collaborative environment where staff are empowered to suggest process improvements and engage in continuous learning. As a leader, you will be responsible for cultivating a safe work environment through safety rounds, coaching staff on regulatory compliance (including HIPAA, COBRA, and EMTALA), and driving a culture of first-call resolution and responsive customer service.
Candidates must hold a current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or an approved compact state of residence. A minimum of three years of acute care clinical experience in a hospital environment is required, along with prior medical procedure scheduling experience. A Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and prior personnel management experience are preferred.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics.
