This position is vital to ensuring the overall health and safety of the individuals we serve. You will act as a key supervisor and trainer for direct care staff, guiding them on medication administration, universal precautions, infection control, and health and safety protocols. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and hygienic living environment while ensuring strict adherence to state, federal, and UCP policies regarding medical records and medication management.
As a Licensed Registered Nurse, you will be the 24-hour point of contact for medical emergencies, responsible for monitoring medication administration records, managing medical supplies, and coordinating all medical appointments and lab work. You will also lead the recertification process for staff regarding medication administration, tube feeding, colostomy care, and diabetes care, ensuring our team is always prepared to provide the highest standard of care.
