The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) is the leading academically-integrated hospital system in Metro Detroit and one of the largest healthcare providers in Southeast Michigan. With over 150 years of history, DMC is a premier academic medical center that trains more physicians than any other hospital in Detroit. The system operates eight hospitals and more than 140 clinics, including nationally recognized facilities like Children's Hospital of Michigan and the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan.
Our culture is built on a spirit of caring and togetherness, often referred to by staff as "my forever family." We believe that teams are better when they are collaborative and integrated, ensuring that every patient receives high-quality, compassionate care. At DMC, staff members have a voice in shaping a culture where colleagues truly have each other's backs.
As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, you will be a vital member of the Patient Care Services Team. This unit specializes in step-down ICU care, serving patients who require a higher level of monitoring than a general medical-surgical floor but do not require the intensive resources of a full ICU.
In this role, you will apply independent judgment to manage and provide nursing care for a group of patients and their families. Your day will involve establishing collaborative relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers, delegating and evaluating patient care activities, and monitoring patient progress to prepare them for discharge. You will work within a supportive environment that fosters professional growth, where your passion for nursing can make a meaningful impact on the community.
Ready to bring your passion for nursing to a place where it truly matters? Apply today to join our dedicated healthcare team where compassion meets innovation. We offer a comprehensive sign-on bonus based on relevant experience and are committed to finding the right fit for our mission.
The Detroit Medical Center is committed to maintaining an environment of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action.
