Tenet South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This ongoing staff position operates on a 36-hour weekly schedule with 12-hour shifts. The role is designed to provide, promote, and maintain high-quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures through education, adherence to standards of practice, professional growth, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare providers.

In this role, you will assess patients as an ongoing process, incorporating physician and psychosocial input to document findings in the chart. You will develop and document a plan of education based on the written care plan, altering the educational approach as the patient's condition changes. The position requires performing patient interventions completely and proficiently, demonstrating age-specific competency for the population served. You will follow medication and IV therapy policies, including patient identification, understanding medications, administering drugs, and recognizing or reporting interactions. Additionally, you will interpret diagnostic data and take appropriate action when indicated, such as notifying physicians of critical lab values per hospital protocol.

Tenet South Carolina offers a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 based on eligibility. To qualify, candidates must hold an Associate degree in Nursing and a valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from their state of residence. If holding a license from another Compact state, a Multi-State RN License from the state of residence must be obtained within 30 days. American Heart Association BLS CPR certification is required within 7 days of hire, while ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained during the orientation period. No previous experience is required for this position.
