About the Role
This position is designed to deliver comprehensive nursing care within the Avera Oahe Manor facility. You will be the cornerstone of a resident's care journey, developing nursing diagnoses and establishing care objectives that address physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs. Your day-to-day involves collaborating with physicians, families, and the broader healthcare team to ensure a seamless care experience.
You will not only manage clinical responsibilities but also serve as an educator, teaching residents and their families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills. The role requires a proactive approach to safety and quality, from maintaining a secure environment and adhering to infection-control protocols to coordinating admissions, discharges, and transfers. Additionally, you will lead and coordinate the workflow of nursing assistants and other nursing personnel, ensuring a productive and efficient unit.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleEvaluate resident care by measuring outcomes and modifying care plans as needed
- check_circleMaintain a safe environment by adhering to infection-control and medication storage protocols
- check_circleTeach residents and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills
- check_circleDirect and coordinate the workflow of nursing assistants and other nursing personnel
- check_circleCoordinate resident admissions, discharges, and transfers to and from the facility
- check_circleMaintain resident care equipment and manage inventory of necessary supplies
Requirements
- verifiedRegistered Nurse (RN) license
- verifiedActive license in the state of practice upon hire
