Avera Infectious Disease Specialists in Sioux Falls is part of a multidisciplinary team built with compassion, dedicated to the mission of "Moving Health Forward" for patients and the community. We strive to create an environment where every team member matters, fostering a culture of hospitality, stewardship, and the CARE values (Communication, Attitude, Responsiveness, and Engagement).
This position serves as a vital link in the delivery of professional nursing care within our infectious disease clinic. You will work collaboratively with providers and clinic staff to solve practice-related problems and ensure the smooth flow of patient care. The role is designed for those who possess a deep knowledge of growth and development principles and the ability to respond to specific patient data with empathy and precision.
In this day-to-day capacity, you will provide general nursing care, administer medications, and coordinate patient activities. You will be the first point of contact for many patients, greeting them, obtaining health histories, and preparing them for examinations. Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key role in patient education, guiding families through diagnostic processes, medication management, and wellness maintenance. Your work ensures that exam rooms are prepared, supplies are managed, and patient records are accurately documented, all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and confidentiality.
We offer a supportive environment where you can grow through hands-on training and mentorship. Eligible employees enjoy benefits designed to support a balanced, healthy life, including PTO available from day one and retirement matching contributions. Additionally, this Registered Nurse position may be eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, providing an extra monthly payment to help pay down principal balances faster.
Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, Veteran Status, or other categories protected by law. If you are an individual with a disability and would like to request an accommodation for help with your online application, please call 1-605-504-4444 or send an email to talent@avera.org.
