This position provides clinical direction for all aspects of patient care within an acute inpatient setting at Baptist Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will foster patient and family-centered care while demonstrating clinical competency through evidence-based practices. Your day-to-day work involves the full nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes.
You will collaborate with the patient, family, providers, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized plans of care. This role requires you to identify realistic goals, respect cultural and spiritual beliefs, and ensure continuity of care through effective discharge planning. You will serve as a patient advocate, coordinating tasks and resources to maintain a safe environment while incorporating cost containment and quality improvement principles into your practice.
The acute inpatient setting may require staff to be scheduled for weekends, holidays, and on-call work. You will adhere to all compliance policies, including licensure renewal, infection control, and patient confidentiality, while ensuring care aligns with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act and regulatory agency requirements (TJC, SC DPH, CMS).
To apply, please submit your application through our careers portal. Candidates must hold a current RN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or be licensed to practice in South Carolina. We welcome applicants who have completed the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or a comparable residency as an alternative to one year of prior RN experience.
Prisma Health is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics.
