About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, you will be the cornerstone of patient care, delivering physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. Your role involves developing comprehensive nursing diagnoses and care plans, establishing objectives, and defining interventions tailored to each patient's unique needs.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with physicians and the broader healthcare team to coordinate care, review prescriptions, and communicate critical updates. You will serve as an educator, guiding patients and families through their conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring changing conditions, re-evaluating care objectives, and maintaining a safe, secure environment by adhering to strict infection-control policies and legal regulations.
Work Schedule & Location
This is a regular position based at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. The role primarily operates on a night shift with rotating weekends and holidays. The schedule typically covers 48 hours over two weeks, including every third weekend and holiday, with shifts running from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
