About the Team

6 East, Medical-Surgical, is a 23-bed unit dedicated to caring for patients with complex medical diagnoses, including hypoglycemia/hyperglycemia, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, pneumonia, COPD, stroke, and respiratory illnesses. As a proud part of UAB Medicine, UAB St. Vincent's has served Alabama for over 125 years. About the Role

You will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols, serving as the primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Your day will involve implementing and monitoring patient care plans, assessing conditions, and communicating changes to the healthcare team. You will carry out physician and nursing orders and coordinate discharge planning needs with team members. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in central Alabama, where improving the health and lives of those we serve is at the heart of our mission.
