About the Unit
As a nurse on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will care for a wide range of moderately complex patients across two unique units, R3 and R4. This team provides advanced monitoring with sophisticated equipment and intensive treatments, utilizing a collaborative approach to promote wellness through assessment, monitoring, and education for critically ill patients. The unit primarily treats patients with conditions such as compromised airways requiring intensive respiratory therapy, hemodynamic instability, multisystem failure, acute poisoning, cardiac events, and post-cardiac arrest, among others.
