Lutheran Hospital has served the Wheat Ridge and surrounding communities for over 100 years. Evolving from humble beginnings as a tuberculosis sanitarium, it is now one of the country's best hospitals, holding Level II trauma designation and Magnet status for nursing excellence. In 2024, Lutheran opened a brand-new facility to provide greater access to life-saving emergency services. Conveniently located near I-70, the hospital welcomes patients from the entire Denver Metro area.
The Operating Room boasts 9 surgical suites, including a heart room and a cystoscopy room. Main specialties include OB-GYN, Orthopedics (the largest service line), General Surgery, Cardiac, Neuro, ENT, Urology, Plastics, and Podiatry. The facility also features DaVinci robotics on-site. As a Heart and Neurovascular Center, accredited Chest Pain Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level II Trauma Center, Lutheran is part of Intermountain Health, a faith-based, nonprofit organization focused on person-centered care.
Wheat Ridge offers wonderful parks, open spaces, and trails for year-round outdoor recreation, including biking, bird-viewing, boating, fishing, and hiking.
We are seeking an Ortho Surgery RN Program Coordinator to join a brand-new department at Lutheran Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to be one of the first leaders on the team, working alongside a creative, hardworking, and close-knit group of Surgeons and Ortho OR RN professionals.
As the Ortho OR RN Clinical Coordinator, you will bring your body, mind, heart, and spirit to your work. You will supervise, lead, and coordinate the activities of personnel to ensure excellent, patient-focused care. Your day will involve serving as a role model and mentor, acting as a leadership and clinical resource, and supporting associates in resolving patient and unit issues. You will participate in performance improvement activities, new initiatives, and the interviewing and selection of personnel. Additionally, you will oversee training, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and partner with physician leaders to create a culture of commitment to patient service, innovation, and integrity.
Together, we align mission and careers, values and the workplace. We honor each other's dignity, encourage joy, demand safety, and take pride in our integrity. We celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing. We are proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn. We believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.
If you are ready to join a team where you can reaffirm every day how much you love this work, we hope you will apply.
