Lutheran Hospital has served the Wheat Ridge and surrounding communities for over 110 years. Evolving from a tuberculosis sanitarium into a premier healthcare facility, we opened a brand-new facility in 2024 to provide greater access to life-saving emergency services. As part of Intermountain Health, a faith-based, nonprofit organization, we are proud to hold Magnet designation for nursing excellence and serve as a Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Heart and Neurovascular Center.
Our Operating Room features nine surgical suites, including a heart room and cystoscopy room, with specialties ranging from Orthopedics (our largest service line) to Cardiac, Neuro, and DaVinci robotics. We are a close-knit group of surgeons and Ortho OR RN professionals dedicated to person-centered care, striving to surpass standards while honoring each other's dignity and integrity.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new department as an Ortho Surgery RN Program Coordinator. You will be one of the first leaders on the team, bringing your body, mind, heart, and spirit to the work. In this role, you will supervise, lead, and coordinate hospital activities to ensure the delivery of safe and appropriate patient care. You will serve as a clinical resource and mentor, managing daily staffing, productivity, and performance improvement initiatives while partnering with physician leaders to foster a culture of commitment and innovation.
Your day will involve balancing leadership duties with hands-on nursing care, resolving unit issues, and ensuring compliance with policies and accreditation standards. You will thrive in a high-pressure environment where you can respond calmly, move fast, and leverage your passion for patient care to make a difference in the lives of our community members.
Located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Lutheran Hospital is minutes away from outdoor recreation and conveniently situated near I-70. The area offers wonderful parks, open spaces, and trails for year-round activities including biking, bird-viewing, boating, fishing, and hiking. This setting allows you to enjoy a balanced life, with days off spent exploring the natural beauty of the Denver Metro area.
We believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible. Together, we align mission and careers, values and workplace. We encourage joy, demand safety, and take pride in our integrity. Our culture is one where we laugh at each other's jokes, celebrate milestones, and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing. We are proud of what we know, yet remain humble enough to recognize how much there is to learn.
We care about your well-being—mind, body, and spirit. Our generous benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, alongside a "Healthy Living" program designed to address holistic health. This program offers financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation support, classes, counseling, and paid time off. We also provide financial wellness tools and retirement planning to help you live healthy, happy, secure, connected, and engaged.
We hire people, not resumes, but we expect excellence. Qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
