Lutheran Hospital has served the Wheat Ridge and surrounding communities for over 100 years. Evolving from humble beginnings as a tuberculosis sanitarium, it is now one of the country's best hospitals, featuring a Level II trauma designation and a brand-new facility opened in 2024. Part of Intermountain Health, a faith-based nonprofit organization, Lutheran is proud to hold the Magnet designation for nursing excellence from the ANCC.
Our Operating Room boasts 9 surgical suites, including a heart room and a cystoscopy room, with DaVinci robotics on-site. We are a Heart and Neurovascular Center, an accredited Chest Pain Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a Level II Trauma Center. Orthopedics stands as our largest service line, alongside OB-GYN, General Surgery, Cardiac, Neuro, ENT, Urology, Plastics, and Podiatry.
We are a close-knit group of surgeons and Ortho OR RN professionals dedicated to person-centered care. We honor each other's dignity, encourage joy, and believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible. We celebrate milestones, acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing, and maintain a culture where we laugh at each other's jokes and high-five for our successes.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new department at Lutheran Hospital as an Ortho Surgery RN Program Coordinator. You will be one of the first leaders on the team, bringing your body, mind, heart, and spirit to the work. In this role, you will supervise hospital activities and coordinate between patient care areas and other departments to ensure the delivery of safe and appropriate patient care for a specific shift.
Your day will involve serving as a role model, mentor, and clinical resource for the assigned area. You will support associates in resolving patient and unit issues, participate in performance improvement activities, and help manage staff, projects, and budgets. You will partner with physician leaders to create a culture of commitment to patient-focused service, innovation, and integrity. While you will perform the responsibilities of an RN as needed, your primary focus is on leading, coordinating, and developing the team to ensure excellence in patient care.
Lutheran Hospital is conveniently located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, just minutes from I-70 and surrounded by wonderful parks, open spaces, and trails. The area offers free, year-round outdoor recreation opportunities including biking, bird-viewing, boating, fishing, and hiking. This location provides a perfect balance for enjoying your days off while working in a state-of-the-art medical facility.
At Intermountain Health, we care about your well-being—mind, body, and spirit. Our generous benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, alongside a "Healthy Living" program designed to address holistic health. This program offers financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation support, classes, counseling, and paid time off. We also provide financial wellness tools and retirement planning to help you live a healthy, happy, and secure life.
We hire people, not resumes, but we expect excellence. If you are ready to reaffirm every day how much you love this work and why you were called to it, we hope you will join us. To learn more about the specific requirements and to apply, please click the apply button for full job details.
