About the Role

The Registered Nurse in the Outpatient Dialysis areas will have a home site at Northeast Clinic but will float to other dialysis satellite locations based on site staffing needs. This role is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care.

You will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The role provides leadership through activities such as preceptorship, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. You will delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability. A subset of employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as part of the responsibility of their role.
