The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Department of Nursing Enterprise Staffing Pool provides staffing support across Mayo Clinic sites in Arizona, Florida, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. This role is designed to meet dynamic staffing and patient care needs, requiring you to function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model.
As a float pool RN, you will coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care. You will support professional nursing practice across the continuum of care, demonstrating accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care. This position involves routine travel to various locations, requiring flexibility and adaptability in work assignments and schedules.
You will provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal and formal leadership opportunities, and quality improvement efforts. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to mentor and teach, and the capacity to delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, and resource availability.
