The Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse (RN) in the GI Endoscopy practice on Gonda 9 South provides direct patient care for adult patients in the outpatient setting. This fast-paced environment requires attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to function autonomously while managing multiple tasks.
You will work across all three direct patient care phases:
As an RN, you will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care. You will support professional nursing practice across the continuum of care, providing leadership through preceptor roles, quality improvement efforts, and mentoring. All RNs in this role are trained to interpret ECG rhythms and are expected to attain ACLS certification within their first 3-6 months of employment.
New Graduate Nurses: If you are a new graduate, please apply through the Nurse Residency Program posting, which is specifically designed to support your transition into the profession. Within the application process, you may indicate work units and specialties of interest. If selected, you will meet with a Nursing Placement Coordinator to explore opportunities best aligned with your professional goals.
Application Instructions: Internal applicants are required to attach their three most recent performance appraisals. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship, which requires state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
