This Registered Nurse (RN) position is an in-person, high-autonomy ambulatory role focused on nurse triage, patient visits, care coordination, IV placements, and VNS/RNS/DBS programming. The role is eligible for TN sponsorship.
The RN is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care. You will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The role supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
In this position, you will provide leadership through activities such as preceptor roles, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. You will delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and availability of resources. A subset of employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as part of the responsibility of their role.
Mayo Clinic has an innovative nursing compensation model that rewards experience, education, and dedication to the organization. When combined with our competitive tuition reimbursement program, the compensation approach empowers nurses to grow professionally and maximize their earning potential. We offer multiple plan options for medical, dental, and vision coverage, pre-tax savings through HSAs and FSAs, and a competitive retirement package.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
