About the Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Registered Nurse to join a dynamic 32-bed Surgical ACE unit in Atlanta, Georgia. This is an immediate, onsite contract opportunity with a duration of 8 weeks (May 18, 2026 – July 11, 2026), offering potential for extension. The role focuses on providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients, including trauma cases, within a respected hospital setting.
About the Role
You will manage care for an assigned group of patients with a typical ratio of 1:5, utilizing your expertise in MedSurg and Telemetry. A key component of this position involves monitoring cardiac telemetry and interpreting rhythms for adult and geriatric populations. You will administer heparin drips and acute medications as ordered, while utilizing EPIC EMR for accurate and timely documentation.
The day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with physicians, case managers, and physical therapists to provide post-operative and medical-surgical care. You will also play a vital role in educating patients and families on discharge planning, medication management, and follow-up care. This position offers consistent night shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week, providing a flexible environment for both local and travel candidates.
