About the Unit
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Oncology Unit located in the Miller building. As a Staff Nurse II, you will join a dedicated team delivering holistic care to patients with cancer diagnoses across various stages, including autologous stem cell transplants and end-of-life care. Our interdisciplinary team collaborates with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, palliative care specialists, and more to manage chemotherapy, biotherapy, and targeted therapies while addressing treatment-related symptoms.
We believe patient and family involvement is essential to care. Our nurses are supported in strengthening their skills through certifications, conferences, and our Clinical Advancement and Recognition Program (CARP). We are committed to maintaining great patient ratios, ensuring nurses have a voice through shared governance, and investing in safe patient handling equipment.
About the Role
In this full-time position (36 hours per week), you will work rotating day (0700-1930) and night (1900-0730) shifts. You will provide exceptional support and education to patients and families throughout their unique cancer journey. While prior inpatient or outpatient oncology experience is preferred, we offer training to the specialty for the right candidate. Candidates with less than one year of RN experience are encouraged to apply to our Nurse Residency program.
