About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care. You will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. This role supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.

You will provide leadership through activities such as preceptor roles, informal and formal leadership positions, and quality improvement efforts. The role requires delegating patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability. A subset of employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as part of the responsibility of their role.

This position is eligible for TN sponsorship, provided successful sponsorship requires state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.

Schedule and Work Model

This is a Part Time, PRN/Supplemental role. The schedule typically runs Monday through Friday with 10-hour shifts between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm, with days varying. The role requires the ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends, as well as on-call availability.
