Join our dynamic interdisciplinary team in the Operating Room at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. This role is designed for nurses who thrive in a culture of mutual respect and collaboration, where your voice is heard through regular rounding with unit leaders and charge nurses. You will be an integral member of a team consisting of providers, surgeons, and surgical technologists, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
In this position, you will evaluate patients prior to surgery, manage patient preparation including intravenous therapy and surgical site verification, and provide essential education to patients and families regarding procedures and peri-operative processes. You will apply critical thinking and scientific judgment to monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and document care thoroughly. The role offers self-preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance to ensure predictability, alongside continuous investment in equipment to support patient safety and workflow efficiency.
