About the Team
Our Emergency Department is a 45-bed, Level I Trauma Center serving patients across all of Vermont and Northern New York. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care through a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that includes Physicians, Fellows/Residents, RNs, MHTs, and ED Techs. Our culture is distinct from other hospitals, prioritizing a shared governance model where nurses truly have a voice. We are committed to maintaining great patient ratios and have made significant investments in safe patient handling and mobility equipment to support our staff and patients alike.
About the Role
As an Emergency Department RN, you will provide professional nursing care to patients in varying states of health and illness. Your responsibilities will encompass the full nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care. This position offers a dynamic day-to-day environment where you will work alongside a diverse team to manage acute care needs. We encourage professional growth through structured preceptorships and continuing education opportunities, ensuring our nurses feel valued and happy in their roles. While on-call duties are not required for this position, you will be trained to cover the Charge RN role and to precept others.
