About the Role
The Registered Nurse serves as a vital member of the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratory division, delivering individualized, goal-directed nursing care. This position is dedicated to upholding the principles of primary nursing while adhering to strict departmental and hospital policies. The role involves close collaboration with physicians to manage all patient-related activities, ranging from continuous EKG monitoring and medication administration to IV therapy, oxygen support, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Day in the Life
In this capacity, you will assess and diagnose the needs of both patients and their families to ensure high-quality care. You will develop and communicate realistic plans of care in partnership with patients and their significant others, addressing all identified health needs. Your day will involve implementing medical plans, executing nursing interventions, and performing specialized procedures unique to the cardiac and electrophysiology scope of service.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to evaluating patient problems, reviewing care provided, and reassessing patient responses to ensure the overall quality of care meets the needs of the patient and family. You will also maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation to facilitate seamless information integration for the entire healthcare team. As part of your professional growth, you will pursue current knowledge and certifications while remaining flexible enough to support operational needs, which may include remaining on campus during severe weather or disasters.

- verifiedRCIS_CCI, RCES_CCI, CEPS, CNOR, ACCA_AACN, Certified Emergency Nurse, or CVN_ANCC within 18 Months
