To be part of our organization, every employee should understand and share in the YNHHS Vision, support our Mission, and live our Values. These values—integrity, patient-centered care, respect, accountability, and compassion—must guide what we do, as individuals and professionals, every day.
The Registered Nurse serves as a vital member of the nursing team, working under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Clinical Coordinator. This role is dedicated to assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care on the nursing unit according to established policies and procedures. The position involves providing supervision to non-RN personnel and, when assuming the charge role, delegating and overseeing unit activities to ensure high-level service.
In this capacity, you will function as a preceptor to new staff and may be required to work on other nursing units based on staff and patient distribution. The role demands a high level of competency in neuro patient care, including specialized skills in airway management, tracheostomy care, ventilator support, and assistance during special neuro procedures. You will collaborate closely with the healthcare team, patients, and families to develop and communicate individualized plans of care that reflect specific patient problems and interventions.
YNHHS is an Equal Opportunity Employer, Affirmative Action, and Disability/Veteran employer. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees are valued.
