This Registered Nurse position is part of a team dedicated to coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care. You will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which holds you accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
The role supports professional nursing practice across the continuum of care to meet the unique needs of patients and families. You will provide leadership through activities such as preceptorship, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. The position requires delegating patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability. A subset of employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as part of their responsibilities.
