About the Role

Join the Emergency Department at Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock, TX, as a Night Shift Registered Nurse. In this full-time role, you will coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring the implementation of clinical objectives and high-quality patient care. You will serve as a vital link in the continuum of care, managing the dynamic needs of the Emergency/Triage specialty area.

Your day-to-day involves assigning, directing, and educating nursing and support associates during your 12-hour shifts (7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.). You will exercise independent judgment to plan shifts and services, assess daily patient care needs, and distribute assignments that ensure population-appropriate care. As a leader on the floor, you will set priorities based on daily patient and physician dynamics, respond to patient care complaints through established channels, and facilitate the availability of necessary resources and supplies. Additionally, you will provide input into the hiring, training, development, and evaluation of your team.
