The Infusion Nurse in Ambulatory Oncology provides direct care to adult patients with complex illnesses, delivering chemotherapy and biologic therapies. This role is central to the patient journey, encompassing the insertion of peripheral intravenous catheters, establishing access via implanted devices, and administering systemic treatments. Nurses in this position also support patients participating in clinical trials and provide comprehensive patient assessment and education.
