The Infusion Nurse in Ambulatory Oncology is a direct-care professional dedicated to providing chemotherapy and biologic therapies to adult patients with complex illnesses. This role is central to the patient journey, encompassing the insertion of peripheral intravenous catheters, establishing access via implanted devices, and administering systemic treatments. Beyond clinical administration, the nurse supports patients participating in clinical trials while delivering comprehensive patient assessment and education.
