At Rochester Regional Health, Registered Nurses are the engine and heart of patient care. You will make a positive difference every single day in the lives of our patients, their family members, and visitors, going above and beyond to meet their needs with courtesy, kindness, respect, and compassion.
The Acute General Medicine Unit (4800) provides specialized care for patients with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and a wide range of complex medical diagnoses. This unit offers Registered Nurses the unique opportunity to develop and refine advanced clinical skills in areas such as cardiac care with telemetry monitoring, diabetes management, renal disease and dialysis, pulmonary conditions, and the management of patients with multiple drips, drains, and catheters.
As a Registered Nurse on this unit, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care. Your day will involve performing initial and ongoing assessments of patients, utilizing appropriate physical, psychological, educational, and risk-screen data tailored to the patient's chronological and developmental age. You will communicate and document these assessments with the interdisciplinary team, utilizing all available resources to meet the needs of the patient and family.
You will be responsible for developing and documenting an individualized plan of care, treatment, and services that aligns with the patient's needs, strengths, limitations, and goals. As part of your commitment to evidence-based practice, you will complete clinical research utilization forms and maintain mandatory certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS).
Rochester Regional Health supports professional growth through a Clinical Ladder system (Levels I-IV). Your level at the time of hire will be determined based on your qualifications and ability to meet specific requirements. An established compensation add-on is applied to each level.
