About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) – MedSurg/Telemetry serves as a vital link in the continuum of care, providing comprehensive nursing support to patients navigating a wide spectrum of acute conditions. This role is specifically designed for those who thrive in a dynamic environment where cardiovascular and respiratory stability are paramount. You will be the eyes and ears of the medical team, managing patients with complex needs ranging from post-operative recovery to acute illnesses requiring constant cardiac surveillance.
In this position, your day is defined by the delicate balance of clinical precision and compassionate care. You will be responsible for administering medications, performing detailed physical assessments, and interpreting telemetry data to detect early signs of cardiac irregularities. Beyond the technical aspects of monitoring heart rhythms and managing IV therapies, you will act as a primary educator for patients and their families, guiding them through disease management, discharge planning, and lifestyle modifications. Your collaboration with physicians, therapists, and social workers ensures that every patient receives a holistic approach to their recovery, prioritizing safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes.
