About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our Medical Surgical Unit. In this fast-paced acute care setting, you will serve as a vital link in the patient care continuum, providing safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients across a variety of diagnoses and post-surgical conditions. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients on a medical-surgical unit
- check_circlePerform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to status changes
- check_circleAdminister medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments per provider orders
- check_circleDevelop and update individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- check_circlePrepare patients for procedures and provide thorough post-operative monitoring and care
- check_circleDocument assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- check_circleAdhere to infection prevention, safety, and quality standards including fall prevention
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians and support staff to coordinate care and discharge planning
- check_circleFloat to similar units as needed and adapt quickly to new environments and workflows
- check_circleEducate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
Requirements
- verifiedActive, unencumbered RN license in applicable state
- verifiedBLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- verifiedACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
- verifiedMedical-Surgical Nursing Certification (CMSRN) preferred
Nice to Have
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification. Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification (CMSRN). Previous travel nursing experience.
