About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our Medical Surgical Unit. In this fast-paced acute care setting, you will provide direct patient care, coordinate treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. This role exists to ensure safe, evidence-based nursing care for adult patients across a variety of diagnoses and post-surgical conditions.
You will be the cornerstone of patient safety and recovery, performing comprehensive assessments, administering critical therapies, and educating patients and families on their care journeys. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. Whether you are managing complex post-operative needs or coordinating discharge planning, you will adapt quickly to new environments and workflows, often floating to similar units as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients on a medical-surgical unit
- check_circlePerform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to status changes
- check_circleAdminister medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments per provider orders
- check_circleDevelop, implement, and update individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team
- check_circlePrepare patients for procedures and provide thorough post-operative monitoring and care
- check_circleDocument assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- check_circleAdhere to infection prevention, safety, and quality standards including fall prevention
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians and support staff to coordinate care and discharge planning
- check_circleFloat to similar units as needed and adapt quickly to new environments and workflows
- check_circleEducate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
Requirements
- verifiedActive, unencumbered RN license in applicable state
- verifiedBLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- verifiedACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
- verifiedMedical-Surgical Nursing Certification (CMSRN) preferred
Nice to Have
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification. Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification (CMSRN). Previous travel nursing experience.
