About the Role
As an Acute Care Cardiovascular Registered Nurse, you will care for patients undergoing a wide range of complex procedures, including pre- and post-heart catheterization, mitral clips, watchman devices, ablations, heart arrhythmia treatments, CHF management, and pre-CABG procedures. You will also work within a specialized cardiac care step-down unit, offering opportunities to expand your skills through cross-training between the cardiac telemetry unit and the step-down unit.
In this specialized capacity, you may care for patients who have undergone TAVRs, vascular procedures such as fem-pop bypasses and carotid endarterectomies, and gain proficiency in managing temporary transvenous pacemakers and arterial lines. Your role involves diagnosing and treating patient responses to actual or potential health problems through the nursing process. You will coordinate care across disciplines, delegate tasks to nursing personnel, supervise care delivery, and evaluate outcomes while maintaining clinical competence and contributing to the development of nursing practice standards.
