This position provides professional nursing care to patients, families, and the community. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care while supervising licensed practical nurses, ancillary staff, and students assigned to the unit. The incumbent actively participates in unit and service activities, supports co-workers, and assesses unit needs.
Full-time (40 hours a week) and part-time opportunities are available on varying shifts, including days, evenings, and nights. Weekend and holiday rotation is required as per bargaining agreements.
Candidates must possess or be eligible for a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. While a diploma, associate, or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program and 6–12 months of RN experience are preferred, new-to-practice nurses will also be considered.
