Senior Community Care of Michigan PACE is part of Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS), serving as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the parent organization. Our PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) centers bring together clinical professionals, housekeepers, maintenance associates, and culinary employees to provide comprehensive care. Unlike many clinical environments, our centers offer flexible work schedules, with most positions requiring only occasional weekends. We are proud to have been voted a "Great Place To Work" by employees for four consecutive years.
As a Registered Dietitian, you will join a vibrant, diverse, and bustling team in Lansing, Michigan, where we value our staff and residents at the highest level. This role is designed to foster a strong work-life balance, offering standard working hours that are less common in elder care careers. You will screen and assess the nutritional status of participants, using pertinent data to plan and implement appropriate nutrition interventions. Your work ensures that the nutritional needs of our elderly participants are met through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' evidence-based Nutrition Care Process.
Your day will involve conducting in-person assessments, providing nutritional education to participants and caregivers, and coordinating meal services to ensure standards are met. You will function as a vital member of the Interdisciplinary Team, collaborating on care planning decisions and communicating participant changes to ensure 24-hour care delivery. This is not just a job; it is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and make a special difference in their lives.
At VOANS, we celebrate sharing, encouraging, and embracing diversity. We believe that blending individual strengths and unique personal differences nurtures our shared commitment to our mission. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone feels valued and has the opportunity to do their personal best. Our comprehensive benefits package, including paid-time off and career scholarships, reflects our commitment to our team members.
