This position provides nutritional education and patient care to an assigned population, ensuring optimal nutritional outcomes at Parkland. The role serves as a vital nutritional resource for health care professionals, interns, trainees, community groups, and media. Dietitians in this capacity contribute to the education and understanding of nutritional services for both internal and external customers through research, in-services, workshops, and publications.
You will screen patients for nutritional risk, assess their status, and consult with physicians and support staff to develop individualized care plans. You will also train and monitor dietetic technicians, student interns, or other staff to ensure quality dietetic services and support professional development.
