About the Role

This position is a specialized opportunity for Registered Nurses to serve as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE). You will be responsible for responding to and offering medical-forensic services to patients of all ages presenting to our facility with reports of sexual assault or violence.

In this role, you will operate independently for adolescent (post-pubescent) and adult patients during medical-forensic exams. For pediatric or pre-pubescent patients, you will either operate independently if you have completed specific pediatric sexual assault training or assist a provider with the exam. Additionally, in the telehealth SANE capacity, you will act as a mentor to clinicians at end sites, providing guidance and direction in the care and support of patients.

You will work as part of a rotating schedule covering days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. This role requires a commitment to maintaining close working relationships with SANE coordinators and other disciplines to ensure the highest standard of care for survivors.
