Operating since 2016, Quality Life Science Transportation LLC treats its drivers as family rather than just numbers. The company operates regionally and over-the-road (OTR), engaging 1099 company drivers and owner-operators to transport pharmaceutical goods and general freight.
About the Role
Communication is key in this position. Drivers will transport pharmaceutical goods or general freight on a schedule of either 10 days on and 3 days off, or 14 days on and 4 days off. Drivers may also choose to stay out longer for higher earning opportunities and higher-paying loads. Due to the nature of the deliveries, parking is typically already arranged by the shipper and receiver, meaning there is no driver load or unload required.
All trucks are equipped with double sleeper bunks, fridges, microwaves, and TVs. Please note that pets and riders are not guaranteed.
Compensation & Benefits
Drivers start at $1,600 per week, prorated based on any days requested off. After a 3-month probation period, performance is evaluated, and drivers advance to either $1,700 or $1,800 per week, again prorated based on requested time off. Thereafter, performance is evaluated annually, with a maximum earning potential of $2,000 per week. Teams can expect an average gross weekly pay of $3,200 to $4,000, covering approximately 4,000 miles per week. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is available per team.
Orientation & Onboarding
The company offers a paid orientation where accommodation is covered. Drivers are provided with their own room, and meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are included. The program also covers some or all travel expenses.
