This position is in our Food Enterprise, where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa, and chocolate.
About the Role
The Regional Smart Manufacturing Senior Project Engineer will transform the way we work. In this role, you will develop and drive projects amid the Smart Manufacturing portfolio. You will provide technical leadership and expertise in the evaluation, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes, controls, instruments, and equipment. Your focus will be on improving costs and the value of existing products, including raw material utilization and the optimization of ingredients and manufacturing processes.
You will drive projects through detailed design, technology pilots, and plant trials, leading execution, startup, commissioning, value tracking, and sustainment activities through to project closeout. This role requires independently handling complex issues with minimal supervision while leveraging cross-functional expertise to identify solutions that meet customer requirements and defend intellectual property opportunities.
Hiring Process
Candidates with 5 to 7 years of experience are encouraged to apply. The process includes reviewing qualifications for a Bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant work experience. Selected candidates will be evaluated on their ability to travel up to 40% of the time and their expertise in scientific procedures, project management, and data analysis.
