As a Recreation Leader, you will serve as the face of the City of Dunedin's recreational programs, ensuring a safe, engaging, and compliant environment for participants of all ages. Working under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, you will be instrumental in bringing community leisure needs to life through before/after school programs, summer camps, and other child care initiatives.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of direct supervision, program coordination, and community engagement. You will guide youth participants, discipline as appropriate, and maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians. Beyond the field, you will assist in planning and promoting creative programming, manage registrations and fees, and coordinate with various City departments and community organizations to ensure seamless operations.
Safety is paramount in this role. You will be responsible for setting up facilities, maintaining equipment, and ensuring strict adherence to all City policies and safety regulations. Whether administering CPR and First Aid, managing supplies, or responding to public inquiries, you will act with professionalism and tact to foster a supportive environment for the community.
