You will join a well-established, medium-sized construction materials company with multiple production plants throughout California. As a valued member of our team, you play a critical role in keeping our operations moving by delivering concrete mix to job sites efficiently and safely.
The Ready-Mix Driver is responsible for operating a truck equipped with a concrete mixer to deliver concrete to various locations. This role requires you to drive in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to all applicable Federal and State laws. Your day-to-day involves driving the truck under the loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water, starting the mixer, and maneuvering levers to release concrete into wheelbarrows or directly into pouring areas.
Beyond driving, you will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, assemble and disassemble chutes, and ensure the truck is cleaned thoroughly after every delivery to prevent concrete from hardening. Maintaining accurate work and driving records and providing high-level customer service to dispatchers, plant management, and contractors are also essential parts of your daily routine.
We offer paid training for candidates who hold a Class A or B license with air brake and tank endorsements. To qualify for this training, you must be able to drive manual transmission trucks (no automatic restriction on your license). Upon completion of the training, your starting pay is $32.00 per hour.
