About the Role
As a Ready-Mix Driver, you will be the vital link between our production plants and construction sites. You will operate a truck equipped with a concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix safely and efficiently, adhering to all applicable Federal and State laws. This role is essential for ensuring that our customers receive their materials on time and in the correct condition.
Your day will involve driving the truck to job sites, operating the loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water, and managing the release of concrete into wheelbarrows or directly into pouring areas. Beyond driving, you will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, assemble and disassemble chutes, and maintain the vehicle's cleanliness to prevent concrete from hardening. You will also monitor company equipment to ensure it meets safety and maintenance standards while providing courteous communication with dispatchers, plant management, and customers.
Hiring Process & Training
We offer paid training for qualified candidates holding a Class A or B license with air brake and tank endorsements. To qualify for this training, you must be able to drive manual transmission trucks without an automatic restriction on your license. Successful completion of this program leads to a starting pay of $32.00 per hour.
Interested candidates should ensure they possess a valid unrestricted California Commercial Driver License (Group A or B), comply with Department of Transportation regulations, and have a safe driving record. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
