About the Role
Amentum is seeking a Range Systems Supervisor - Communications & Timing to lead operations at the Space Force Range Contract located at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL. In this critical position, you will provide leadership and direction for personnel responsible for operating and maintaining the Communications Systems essential to the Eastern Range. Your primary mission is to ensure mission equipment is properly maintained, operational spares are available, and qualified personnel are ready to support scheduled launch operations and mission rehearsals.
As a supervisor, you will oversee the setup and operation of mission equipment, monitor system performance during launches, and facilitate the expeditious resolution of any anomalies. You will also manage staff scheduling, including work assignments, training, and shift rotations, while enforcing safety regulations and holding site safety meetings. The role requires a balance of technical oversight and people management, guiding a team of approximately 10-30 specialized technical and support personnel, many of whom are represented under collective bargaining agreements.
This position demands adaptability in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. You will participate in engineering project design reviews, assist in preparing mission cost estimates, and pursue initiatives to improve the quality and efficiency of work centers. The role may require flexibility to work frequent non-duty hours or weekends to support specific project or mission requirements, and occasional travel locally or outside the continental U.S.

- check_circleEnsure adequate operational spares, supplies, and consumables are available for O&M tasks
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Business, Technical Discipline or equivalent
- verified5+ years of experience with communications systems
- verifiedProficient in Microsoft Office products
- verified8140 certification or ability to obtain within six months
- verifiedDoD Top Secret Security Clearance with U.S. citizenship
- verifiedValid U.S. Driver's License
- verifiedValid U.S. Passport or ability to obtain one

Working knowledge of the capabilities and interconnectivity of Communications and Timing systems employed on the Eastern Range. Eastern Range operations and maintenance experience. Experience working in a collective bargaining unit environment. Experience with Eastern Range project integration. Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
