About the Role
At SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, this position is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited radiology school. It serves as a practical extension of your education, allowing you to provide X-Ray services within your student scope of practice under direct supervision.
This role is a calling for those ready to transition from the classroom to the clinical floor. You will work alongside supervising technologists and physicians, assisting in a variety of imaging procedures while adhering to strict radiation protection and safety standards. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in preparing patients, selecting exposure factors, and administering contrast media and medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Work Environment
You will be part of the CT Scanner department, working a weekend shift. The role requires a constant state of alertness and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms. Success in this position relies on your ability to collaborate effectively with the team while performing duties that demand physical stamina, including frequent lifting, moving patients, and utilizing vision and hearing for precise technical tasks.
