This position is based at Avera Marshall Hospital and is essential to the proficient operations of our radiographic and CT equipment. You will provide clinically diagnostic images as directed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every procedure. The role requires initiating proper intervention when exams indicate immediate attention and reviewing exam indications to ensure they align with established protocols.
You will serve as a vital link between the patient, the technology, and the reading radiologist. Your day involves utilizing computer systems such as PACS, RIS, and EMR to provide complete exam data, archiving image data for permanent storage, and managing the retrieval and distribution of images. Beyond technical duties, you will assist in mentoring staff and students during clinical rotations and orientation, while maintaining strict adherence to department policies, safety standards, and infection control measures.
