The Department of Radiology at Tufts Medical Center (TMC) provides high-level academic radiology services in the heart of downtown Boston. As the principal teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine, TMC is a Level-I trauma center with expanding transplant services, including live donor liver, renal, and cardiac transplants. The department is a regional leader in advanced cardiac imaging, neuroradiology with state-of-the-art MRI, and comprehensive cancer patient care across multiple service lines including thoracic, breast, GI, GU, hepatobiliary, hem/onc, GYN, head and neck, and CNS.
Our educational programs include an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency with 22 residents, offering diverse experiences in trauma, stroke, transplant, and cancer imaging. The department also hosts two ACGME-accredited fellowship programs: an MRI fellowship and an Emergency and Trauma Radiology Fellowship. With anticipated growth in academic radiology and system-wide volumes, the department aims to become a regional, national, and international leader in clinical services.
The Department Chair of Radiology holds an endowed position as the Alice Ettinger - Jack R. Dreyfuss Chair and Professor of Radiology. This role is pivotal in leading all teaching and research activities, including medical students and graduate medical educational programs, while crafting a strategic vision for the department's future.

Working within the close relationship between TMC and Tufts University School of Medicine, the Chair will leverage shared resources to build excellence in education and research, directly contributing to the School's missions of diversity, community impact, and health equity. The role involves driving the expansion of clinical services to include abdominal, cardiothoracic, emergency, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, mammography, musculoskeletal, and limited pediatric imaging.
