As a Radiologic Technologist at AdventHealth Tampa, you will be a vital member of our radiology team, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging while prioritizing patient comfort and safety. In this role, you will move, position, and manipulate radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely. Your day will involve performing direct patient care duties within your scope of practice, including monitoring patient conditions, transporting patients, and utilizing proper infection control techniques.
You will be responsible for ensuring exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, while maintaining equipment through routine cleaning and safety checks. By following basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding, you will help keep exposure levels ALARA for both patients and staff. You will perform imaging procedures that produce high-quality images meeting department standards, ensuring accurate patient demographic and examination information is recorded in our electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
Beyond technical execution, you will assist patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy in compliance with regulatory guidelines. This role also requires establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, providers, and team members of diverse backgrounds. As the team evolves, you may cross-train into advanced modalities as needed.
